Dear Alumni,
Re – Future of Wave Leadership College
For the past decade I have been Chair of Wave Leadership College and without doubt the past week has been one of the challenging in the Colleges history.
The board of WLC meet on the 29th June and after considerable prayer and counsel it is with an incredibly heavy heart that I have to communicate to you the future of WLC.
The decrease in enrollments for the College through the COVID season and as a result the significant increase needed in fundraising it has placed the College in an untenable situation.
As a result the Board of WLC has made the very painful and emotional decision to cease operations as a college immediately.
I want you to be absolutely assured that decision is in no way a reflection on the performance of any of our wonderful college staff and student body.
As I, and all members of the Board have indicated not just in this recent board meeting but on numerous occasions what WLC has accomplished over many years is not in vain. Hundreds of lives were impacted through the work of WLC.
Your academic record will be transferred to Regent for permanent storage should you require a transcript in the future.
The Wave Leadership College staff and Head Student are available to you to pray with you, answer any questions, and provide advice as needed this week July 11 - 15, from the hours of 9am - 12pm, at 757-401-6125. If you would like to make an appointment to speak with Dean Robinson specifically regarding academic records, you may make an appointment at www.wavecollege.edu.
Again, this decision was not a decision that anyone who has been associated with the WLC envisioned when the WLC was birthed over 20 years ago.
I remain
Yours Sincerely
