G.I. Bill

 

Are you eligible for Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits? Wave Leadership College is an eligible institution for former and current military service members who want to use their benefits, as well as students using their parents’ benefits to pay for college.

The Department of Veteran Affairs’ GI Bill website contains all the information you need, including instructions and applications. Students may apply online or download a hard copy of the form to mail in.

    Characteristics


    Enter July 1st, 1985 or after and has 6-year reserve obligation

    Type of training allowed


    IHL, NCD, App/OJT, co op. correspondence, flight, work study, remedial, refresher, and tutorial. No farm co op.

    VEAP or Post Vietnam Era Educational Assistance Program

    Veterans and military personnel

    Characteristics


    Entered active duty between January 1st, 1977 and June 30th, 1985

    Type of training allowed


    IHL, NCD, App/OJT, co op. correspondence, flight, work study, remedial, refresher, tutorial, high school, and elementary. No farm co op.

    Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program

    Recipient


    Spouses and children of vets 100% permanently disabled or died of service connected disability

    Characteristics


    Spouse: within 10 years of rating. Child: between 18 and 26 years old

  • Chapter 31

    Training and Rehabilitation for Veterans with Service-Connected Disabilities or Vocational Rehabilitation

    Disabled veterans with employment impediment 20% or higher

    Eligibility determined by VA Counseling Psychologist in his/her state

    Type of training allowed

    Determined by VA Counseling Psychologist and Veteran
